Unreinforced
Un-reinforced bellows are expansion joints designed without any reinforcing rings or rods between the convolutions. This basic construction allows the bellows to remain highly flexible, making them suitable for low to moderate pressure applications where additional structural reinforcement is not required. When the bellows are also unrestrained, it means no movement-limiting devices, such as tie rods or limit rods, are included. These types of expansion joints are the simplest form of metal bellows ideal for absorbing thermal expansion with minimal system complexity.

At LSI-MECH, we manufacture unreinforced and unrestrained expansion joints in any size and in a wide range of form able materials, including stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, and other specialized metals tailored to your system’s specific requirements. To learn more about how we form and fabricate our metal bellows, please visit our Manufacturing section
