Y-Strainers are devices for mechanically removing solids from flowing liquids or gases by means of a perforated or wire mesh straining element. They are used in pipelines to protect equipment such as pumps, meters, control valves, steam traps and regulators.

  • Machined screen seating area in the body for screen retention
  • Drain/blow off connection furnished with plug as standard (off centre / on centre)
  • Strainers meet ASME B16.5 & ASME B16.34 requirements
  • Blow-out gasket proof design for effective gasket sealing
  • Welders are qualified as per ASME Sec IX (if required)

Material of Construction:

  • Carbon steel ( Eg -A 216 Gr WCB / IS 2062/A 516 gr 70 /A 105 etc)
  • Low temperature carbon steel ( Eg-A 106 gr B body)
  • Stainless steel (Eg -CF8, CF8M, SS 304, SS 316 equivalent)
  • Inconel, Monel – other alloy steels (Ex- Inconel 625,825 )
  • Duplex stainless steel, super duplex stainless steel , other special alloy materials (Example -2205)
